The Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) is the office within USAID that is responsible for providing emergency non-food humanitarian assistance in response to international crises and disasters. OFDA is part of the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA) and is organized into six divisions.

OFDA requires a Hydrometeorological Hazard Advisor to provide expert technical advice and assistance for the analysis of hazard potential and risks to populations. The Hydrometeorological Hazard Advisor will also be expected to provide expert advice on disaster response and risk reduction strategies for hydrometeorological disasters worldwide such as floods, droughts, tsunamis, windstorms, climate variability, dam breaks, and other climate-, weather- and water-induced hazards.

$99,172 - $128,920
