Leads the writing of proposals for a range of US government agencies (for example, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Departments of Education, Health and Human Services, Justice, and Labor; and National Science Foundation), in addition to private sector and foundation funders, to support public health, education, and workforce development projects serving communities in the United States. Produces original writing, along with integrating and rewriting material produced by others, to create compelling, engaging, easy-to-read, and uniform language in response to requests for proposals/applications, working closely with program design leads, proposal managers and technical experts. May also develop, write and edit other technical documents, including policies, forms, fact sheets, web copy, and training materials.



Master's degree in communications, public health, education, or related field.


8+ years of developing, writing, and editing materials for proposals and technical publications.

Experience writing proposals for projects that serve communities in the United States, especially proposals for federal agencies.

Knowledge of issues related to public health, education, or workforce development is a plus.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.

Prior work in a non-governmental organization (NGO) preferred.
