About the organization

The Sewing Labs works to alleviate poverty by teaching participants the skill of sewing with the goal of giving them a skill that will lead to employment and entrepreneurship. The Sewing Labs is an inclusive and welcoming community teaching the legacy of sewing for employment, entrepreneurship, and enrichment.-The Sewing Labs Mission


The Communications Specialist will raise awareness of The Sewing Labs mission by creating content for all social media platforms including the website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube, among others. In addition, by creating meaningful and consistent storytelling communication for the organization. Enhance communication of our web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to reach more donors and therefore raise awareness of our mission. Improve communication; in particular “thank you” protocols and procedures for donors and volunteers.


Must be 18 year or older, legally able to work in the U.S., and pass a background check


$1000 a month
