Impact Public Schools is a public charter elementary school in Tukwila, WA. We are an incredibly diverse school with a commitment to preparing all students for success in college and to become the next generation of equity-driven community leaders.


A substitute teacher will be called, emailed, or texted when a teaching assignment opens up. Assignments can be limited to one day, or span multiple days, and this will be communicated to guest teachers when they are contacted. Guest teachers primarily support a classroom’s lead teacher, and also run enrichment time for scholars. Guest teachers are expected to uphold IPS norms and expectations when working with scholars.

Essential Functions of an IPS Substitute Teacher:

Support lead teacher in monitoring scholar behavior and ensuring that all scholars are safe and on task
Lead enrichment, executing on lesson plans provided by the school
Monitor scholars during transitions and help make sure that scholars follow directions
