About the organization

We are the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 525 stream miles and 62,000 wetland acres, in addition to conserving and preserving 15,000 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 20,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 280 tons of polluting nutrients. RES ecological solutions enable a balance of economic development and ecological sustainability.

Duties

50% of your time, you will be working on existing projects, analyzing the actual regional results for Revenues, Margin, Overhead, Headcount, Capital Expenditures, Working Capital, and Cash Flow based on bottom-up and top-down planning. You will be in constant contact with your regional internal clients, therefore being able to effectively communicate your concerns and facts and influence across the organization are necessary.

25% of your time, you will support monthly financial reporting and forecasting activities. You will assist the Finance Manager in presenting monthly and quarterly business metrics and financial reporting packages to support the regional and corporate leadership teams.

25% of your time, you will be modeling! That is, once a new project is in sight, you will run financial valuation, and what-if scenarios, to understand and make recommendations on acceptable terms of the project and present its main financial milestones. To do so, you will use your business acumen and superior analytical skills. You will use create complex and dynamic financial models in Excel and therefore ability to manage large and complex data sets is needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in a quantitative field (Accounting or Finance degree preferred)
3-5 years work experience in an accounting/financial analysis environment preferably with a large corporation or Big 4 accounting firm/financial advisory/consulting firm
Previous experience in financial modelling and valuation.
