The Mental Wellness Program, which houses this position, provides free mental health services to those in our communities who have barriers to accessing mental health care. Licensed mental health volunteers provide free counseling through their private practice and through our host site model, which connects volunteers with agencies in the community to serve mental health needs of their constituents.


Position Summary: Spark the Change Colorado (Spark) has an opening for a full-time Public Health AmeriCorps Program Manager. This position will be responsible for the oversight and management of a Public Health AmeriCorps program (Spark Health Corps) that will build the capacity of schools to address mental health needs of their students. In partnership with the Charter School Institute, the position will oversee the onboarding of 20 AmeriCorps Members (7.62 MSY) to provide Tier 1 and Tier 3 mental wellness counseling and education to vulnerable K-12 students at 10 public charters schools throughout Colorado. This position is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing, detail-oriented individual with outstanding project management skills and a strong sense of initiative to play a critical role in the workforce development of mental health professionals and access to mental health for vulnerable populations.

• Candidates must be Colorado residents for the duration of the job.
• 3+ years experience in program management, including experience leading a team of individuals and working with community partners.

• Flexibility, resourcefulness, positive attitude, strong work ethic and proven ability to initiate problem solving
• High integrity, sound judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong computer and internet skills, competency with Microsoft Office 365, Google Suite, Zoom and Teams
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout Colorado; access to a vehicle required
• Previous AmeriCorps experience preferred
• Knowledge of mental health terminology, professions and licensing process helpful


44,000 - 48.000 per year plus benefits
