Duties

Dexis seeks a Social Media and Web Content Manager to support Power Africa’s communications team. The Position will work at the Power Africa office in Pretoria, South Africa, and provide support to technical staff and leadership, performing a variety of complex and routine administrative and technical communication duties. The primary duty is to manage and develop content for Power Africa’s social media accounts and website.  Other duties may include administrative-type tasks such as scheduling briefings and meetings, proofreading and editing, and ensuring brand compliance, to more complex functions such as website editing, press tracking, event support, network mapping and content creation and distribution with Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) software.  The Position ranks tasks in order of importance and impending deadlines, and handles several tasks simultaneously. The individual must develop a working knowledge of USAID policies and guidelines, as well as corporate practices and procedures of Power Africa.

Manages all Power Africa social media accounts;
Manages social media calendars, tracking and identifying content and influencers;
Coordinates content with Power Africa

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of professional office experience
Proven work experience as a social media manager
Hands on experience in developing web-based content
Ability to conceptualize and develop creative content (text, image,video)
Excellent writing and copywriting skills
Familiarity with web design
Excellent communication skills
Analytical and multitasking skills
Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
Proficiency in editing and writing, and technical proficiency in website management (Drupal, Wordpress), social media marketing (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Constant Contact, Medium, LinkedIn, Youtube), Adobe CS (Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects), and data visualization
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a “Facility Access”
Oral and written communication skills and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret energy and communication related content.  

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

English fluency.  

Preferred Requirements:

Ability to speak French or Portuguese a plus
