Sierra Club Major Gifts Officer
About the organization
The Sierra Club is the most enduring and influential grassroots environmental organization in the United States. We amplify the power of our 3.5+ million members and supporters to defend everyone’s right to a healthy world.
The Sierra Club is hiring an Advancement Director for the Midwest, based in Chicago, to steward philanthropists and foundations in a 12-state region with capacity to give $100,000 or more at one of the most critical times in our history. If you have experience thoughtfully connecting with people around their values--as well as interest in Sierra Club’s role addressing climate change, protecting public lands, water, and wildlife; and getting people outdoors--you would be a welcome and valued addition to our team. Successful candidates will demonstrate a personal commitment to equity, inclusion, and justice and be adept at working collaboratively and managing time effectively to support Sierra Club’s statewide and national campaigns.
