The Senior Specialists, Training & Curriculum Development are responsible for the development and delivery of a competency-based training program and curriculum for adult learners that focus on knowledge related to disease prevention and management, cultural competence and health equity; and critical workforce skills including data collection and evaluation, community level outreach and partnerships practices.
The Senior Specialists work as a team from our U.S. offices in San Diego, California, with an initial assignment of 10 months with the possibility of extension.
Undergraduate degree and a minimum of four years of related work experience or eight years of related work experience.
At least 3 years conducting community outreach work in a health-related field.
Experience as a Training Facilitator, Training Coordinator or similar role, including in virtual / web-based training.
Experience in developing training(s) for vulnerable populations and low-literacy populations. Experience designing training curricula for health-related topics strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work under pressure with limited guidance.
Knowledge of San Diego region and area health and social services.
Foreign language skills and experience translating materials preferred.
A passion for the mission and values of Global Communities.
Must have U.S. work authorization.
