To serve our clients most effectively, ECODIT has two permanent office locations: one in the Washington, DC area (USA) and one in Beirut (Lebanon), as well as project-dedicated offices in Da Nang, Vietnam; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; and Almaty, Kazakhstan.


The Senior Associate I (Energy) provides strategic support to ongoing ECODIT energy projects, coordinates business development efforts, and contributes to collaboration and learning, including conducting research on international development topics related to the energy sector, as relevant to ECODIT’s work and interests.

Business Development (50%)

Provide leadership, support, and coordination for the preparation of technical proposals in response to RFPs and RFTOPs, including serving as Proposal Coordinator or Proposal Manager, conducting capture trips to the field, supporting bid/no-bid decisions; drafting technical approaches or other sections of proposals; conducting proposal compliance reviews; and providing feedback to improve draft proposals.

Project Management (40%)
Manage HO support to energy sector project teams in the field, including serving as the liaison between the Home Office and the Chief of Party, identifying and mobilizing quality long- and short-term staff, liaising with subcontractors, ensuring that the HO support team is responsive to project/contract needs, including budget realignments and contract modifications, and helping to resolve administrative, technical, and personnel issues as they arise during project implementation.

Collaboration and Learning (10%)
Contribute to the knowledge base and market expansion efforts of ECODIT’s technical sectors.


Masters with at least two (2) years of experience in international development, energy, engineering, sciences, public policy, economics, or another related field with significant coursework in energy; a Bachelor’s degree plus four (4) years’ experience may be substituted.
Excellent research and analytical abilities and quantitative skills;
Strong written and oral communication skills in English;
High levels of organization and attention to detail;
Sound judgment and initiative;
Ability to multi-task;
Ability to work independently in a flexible small-business environment;
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and
Fluency in at least one relevant language other than English is a plus (e.g., French).
