About the organization

The Interior Business Center is a federal shared services provider that operates under a fee-for-service, full cost
recovery business model, offering Acquisition, Financial Management and Human Resources systems and services to
federal organizations.


•Interpretation and application of security and suitability guidelines, policies and procedures.
•Assists with the initiation and processing of employee and contractor background investigations.
•Processes employee and contractor Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credentials in accordance with the requirements of publication FIPS 201 and other applicable government directives.
•Assists both Personnel Security Specialists and Supervisory Personnel Security Specialists in the performance of their assigned duties.
