About the organization
The Kansas City Public Library has been granted the opportunity by AmeriCorps to serve as an intermediary sponsor—The Library VISTA Project. As an intermediary, the Library partners with local organizations serving as AmeriCorps member host sites. AmeriCorps members provide a year of service, bringing their passion and perseverance where the need is greatest: to organizations that help eradicate poverty. Library VISTA Project members serve in a professional setting building partnerships, raising awareness, writing grants, organizing volunteers, and more.
The Re.Use.Full Project Coordinator VISTA would ensure the WordPress site and related application that together make up the Re.Use.Full website are free of bugs and continue to evolve to serve users’ needs. Increase the number of charity partners and donors using the site. Prepare Re.Use.Full for expansion to other geographic locations. Engage in ongoing professional development during 5% of your time as a VISTA.
About Re.Use.Full: Re.Use.Full is a free online platform that increases the quality and quantity of in-kind donations for nonprofit organizations, schools and churches so still-good items can stay out of landfills and help more people experiencing financial hardships. The Re.Use.Full Project Coordinator will help spread the word about this no-cost tool to attract more charity partners and donors and play an instrumental role in our expansion plans to help other communities recover from the pandemic.
