We’re looking for a fun, dynamic, motivated and entrepreneurial person to join our amazing team at DC’s best hostel and work part-time or full-time as a front desk associate in Adams Morgan. The shifts are from 3PM - 11PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.

Our hostel is the highest-rated in Washington DC and we have many happy guests from all over the world who are fun to interact with. We host weekly free events, which our Volunteer Team organizes and manages, and we have a good time at work and also have team dinners from time to time.

Plus, there definitely will be other opportunities to pick up shifts from time to time as well.

Expect to work 16 minimum hours per week and up to 32 hours per week with more possible.

We are looking for someone who has availability to start anytime from right away to within 3 weeks.

Self-motivation and trustworthiness are a must as you will be responsible for making important decision on your own during the shift and be responsible for the well-being of all guests and the hostel facilities overnight. Additionally, a large part of the job is interacting with guests and conveying excitement and knowledge about Washington, DC. You’ll play a vital role in our front of house team representing our brand and setting the mood for our guests’ experience at the hostel.

The hostel is the newest in D.C. and just opened in 2016. We have a great team of existing staff members and really strive to make each guest have a great stay. More Information About the Resident Advisor Position:

The position has these requirements:
1. Live on-site in an exclusive team dorm room (for resident advisors only).
2. Commit to live onsite for 4 months at minimum.
3. Work 24 hours per week. Our shifts are approx. 8 hours long.
4. Be able to do at least two shifts per week overnight (11pm-7am) if needed.

You will receive free accommodation in a dorm room exclusively for Resident Advisors only. (No other guests). The dorm room includes your own bed and storage space. Free breakfast is provided each morning as well.

Of course, you will receive training from our managers on how to do all your duties, plus follow up and constant contact with all of us so that you never feel confused about what to do or how to do anything.

This position is for anyone seeking a minimum stay of four months in exchange for working 24 hours per week including some overnights.

The Resident Advisor will be responsible for providing service to hostel guests and includes working at these three main positions:
1. Working at the front desk
2. Cleaning duties and making beds
3. Helping with fun guest events

-Fluency in English. Bonus points for fluency in second languages
-Outgoing with strong interpersonal skills

-Love of Washington DC and desire to share your city with the world
-Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
-Excellent written and spoken communication skills
-The ability to stay calm under pressure and multi-task
-Creative problem-solving skills
