Founded in 1999, Project Access – a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization – is the leading provider of vital health, education and employment services to families, children and seniors living in affordable housing communities. Our goal is to help keep family members employed, children in school and seniors active. Project Access runs resource centers at over 70 properties in 13 states.

Duties

As the Resident Services Specialist, you are responsible for the overall development & coordination of programs and services offered for the benefit of residents which include youth, adults, & seniors. You will serve as a liaison in the community & advocate for services offered to residents with a drive to increase presence & access to programs & services in the respective communities through intentional outreach & engagement. In addition, will develop individualized service plans with & for residents who meet criteria for potential case management & follow-up services at Crescent Cove Apartments.

This position works independently & is suited for someone who enjoys building community connectivity & engagement in order to strengthen the social network & who will thrive in an environment with a high degree of autonomy & accountability. The Family Resource Centers are located on the grounds of the housing apartment communities.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Delivery (70%)
 Identify services that promote self-sufficiency through surveys, community meetings, etc.
 Develop individualized service plan with & for residents who meet criteria for potential case management & follow-up services.
 Plan & coordinate the staffing and presentation of onsite classes, programs, & services. Types of programs include, but are not limited to: ESL classes, nutrition education, fitness & exercise classes, health information/awareness, family engagement

Qualifications

• AA in Human Services or related field. In lieu of a BA/BS degree, a minimum of 2+ yrs working in an equivalent role
• One year experience working in social services with youth and seniors
• Experience in outreach and case management preferred
• Experience serving diverse populations demonstrating cultural competency and community awareness
• Bilingual in Mandarin preferred; the predominate language of the housing community
• Intermediate skill level with MS Office (Excel, Word, Publisher) and Outlook
• Strong time management, administrative and organizational skills.
• Strong communicator; high level of verbal, written, and listening skills

$23 to $25 per hour
