Responsibilities of the PA/SPA will encompass a range of data analysis, administrative, project management, research, and communication tasks.
Program Management responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day coordination with country partners and experts
Support governance program design and implementation in-country
Foster current and future collaborative relationships with country and technical partners
Provide support on a range of project management and administrative tasks, including developing contracts, budgeting and expenditure tracking, and funder progress reports
Analysis, research and knowledge management responsibilities:
Support mixed methods research design and implementation in-country
Support and in specific cases manage quantitative and qualitative research analysis including cleaning, analyzing, validating, managing, and sharing data
Develop research standards or protocols for various types of mixed methods data work
Perform other research and program management duties as necessary
What are we looking for:
Previous experience with technical partner engagement (secondments, etc.)
Previous program and research design implementation experience in-country
Knowledge of open governance and accountability space
Ability to work independently
Fluent Spanish speaker strongly preferred
BA/BS (MA/MS preferred) with a strong academic record in public administration, public policy, public health, or related discipline
Knowledge and experience with governance, accountability and citizen engagement approaches in Latin America, Asia or Africa.
Knowledge of, and experience with, both quantitative and qualitative research methods
Structured thinker with excellent analytical skills
Experience with standardizing data sets to a common format and using data repositories for knowledge management
Ability to describe technical problems and solutions to a non-technical audience
Strong writer and oral communicator in English, with a proven track record of preparing compelling presentations and written reports
Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team including researchers, analysts, and program managers
Enthusiasm, energy, professionalism, and composure under pressure
Flexibility, entrepreneurial work ethic, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Attention to detail
Ability to set priorities and handle multiple, competing time and resource demands
Demonstrated ability to work both as a team member and independently
