Duties

Recruiters are the sales force of Peace Corps, working in the Office of Recruitment and Diversity and striving to ensure that our volunteers represent a cross-section of the United States. Recruiters are responsible for strategic outreach on campuses and in communities to identify and develop a robust pipeline of qualified candidates for service. Recruiters also work with community and school contacts to share information and promote Peace Corps within their territory, and they engage directly with interested candidates to move them towards submitting their Peace Corps application.

Qualifications

As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, we recognize that you may have gained relevant skills in both your Peace Corps service and in other professional experiences. You will be evaluated based on your experience, education, and training as described in your resume. Prior experience connecting with underrepresented groups is preferred. Qualified candidates should be comfortable with: public speaking; working in both virtual and in-person settings; leading and organizing events; providing prompt and professional service; outreach to new contacts; and collaborating with fellow recruiters as needed.
