The Company:

Reconstruction is a startup looking to change the way the world thinks about curriculum and community. We are focused on delivering a K-12 supplemental curriculum that situates Black people, Black culture, and Black contributions to American and world history in an authentic, identity-affirming way so that students of all backgrounds benefit from a more complete understanding of our shared history and society. We provide virtual small group courses online – 10 sessions in each course- offering an unapologetically Black education on topics ranging from the academic (Black Shakespeare, Pre AP-Calculus, literature for all ages) to the cultural (How to play spades and not embarrass yourself, cooking for the soul and more).


We’re looking for passionate instructors who wants to facilitate one-of-a-kind curriculum, that situates Black culture, experiences, and contributions to American and world history in an accurate light, and amazing instructors to deliver that curriculum in a way that respects our students’ humanity and dignity. Hosting courses a minimum of 2 hours per week at $20 per hour.

● Problem solvers and doers.

Technology Requirements
Instructors need access to personal computers with audio and video and an internet connection speed that will support video conferencing via Zoom.
