Macfadden is now part of PAE. Founded over 30 years ago, Macfadden has provided federal agencies with critical on-the-ground support to U.S. government humanitarian missions around the world as well as financial and IT system support. Through program management, human resources services, financial management systems support, information technology solutions, knowledge management, travel coordination and communications support, Macfadden enables effective U.S. government humanitarian response to international disasters. Macfadden’s workforce includes approximately 300 employees primarily located in the Washington, D.C. area.


Macfadden, now part of PAE, seeks a Receptionist to support USAID’s Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA) Bureau. The receptionist will support one of ten offices under the DCHA Bureau.

Essential Functions:

Maintains the orderly use of common areas and spaces
Assists with onboarding of new staff with facilities access;
Coordinates, plans, and supports meetings, conferences and work-related events;
Maintains an active inventory of office furniture and equipment including consumables and office supplies;
Ensures that all the equipment and other facilities are clean and in working order;
Responds to staff requests concerning damages to equipment and the facility itself;
Coordinates with building management to ensure smooth facilities operations;
Coordinates with building management to ensure the safety of the building and staff from fire, flood and other hazards and update emergency evacuation plans periodically;
Educates staff on the proper use and care of equipment;
Assist Project Management Team with event planning and basic financial reconciliations;
Assists with miscellaneous client requests as needed;


Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience: One year of office experience.

Required Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills and attention to detail. Proficient in Excel and other MS Office programs

Preferred Skills: Experience with facilities operations, working in fast paced environments, and/or previous positions in customer service

U.S. Citizenship is required; selected candidate must be able to qualify for a government sponsored clearance.
