Duties

The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining a 6-S environment, adhering to good safety practices and demonstrating the ability to understand and follow established standard operating & job safety procedures. This person positively participates in performance dialogues and other team problem-solving activities. They also identify potential problems and show willingness to proactively work on problem resolution and alternative solutions to traditional methods of operation, as well as demonstrates leadership amongst the team.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong personal initiative, work ethic and maintain positive peer relationships. Key attributes include a positive attitude, excellent attendance and self-motivation. The Quality Inspector is expected to adhere to quality standards, procedures and initiate adjustments as needed to correct product and/or packaging defects. Routine tasks include preparing and maintaining necessary paperwork and performing required preventive maintenance. Flexibility is key as the incumbent will operate in multiple positions as needed. Moderate mechanical abilities are necessary but training is obtained on the job. Power Industrial Vehicle certification may be required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

High School diploma, GED or equivalent
Ability to constantly, stand, walk, push/pull and reach above shoulder level
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
