Macfadden is now part of PAE. Founded over 30 years ago, Macfadden has provided federal agencies with critical on-the-ground support to U.S. government humanitarian missions around the world as well as financial and IT system support. Through program management, human resources services, financial management systems support, information technology solutions, knowledge management, travel coordination and communications support, Macfadden enables effective U.S. government humanitarian response to international disasters. Macfadden’s workforce includes approximately 300 employees primarily located in the Washington, D.C. area.


Macfadden, now part of PAE, is seeking a PSC Recruiter. The PSC Recruiter will be responsible for assisting the United States Agency for International Development’s Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA) throughout the pre-award contract process. The Recruiter will be assigned primary responsibilities based on demonstrated skills, experience, and workflow requirements, with opportunities for cross-training. The Recruiter must have the ability to quickly read, comprehend, and analyze numerous documents that are often lengthy and include technical terms. The position requires outstanding writing and editing skills for drafting, finalizing, publishing, and documenting a high volume of written products. The role requires extreme attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a highly professional, customer service-oriented approach.


Education: Bachelor’s Degree with 2 – 4 years of work experience or Master’s Degree with 2 – 3 years of work experience

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Previous experience with contracts, procurement or human resources is a plus. Experience working with USAID or other U.S. Government agencies in procurement, contracting, or with Personal Services Contracts (PSCs) is ideal.

Skills: Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and communication skills; Reliable, highly organized, and efficient; Motivated, self-directed and proactive; Must excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while maintaining a calm, friendly, helpful and mature attitude while under pressure, flexibility to balance priorities and multitask; Ability to complete tasks independently in a timely manner; Extreme attention to detail; Exceptional written communication skills; Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) email, and internet applications; Ability to learn quickly; Superior critical thinking skills; Eager to learn and grow.

U.S. Citizenship is required; selected candidate must be able to qualify for a government sponsored security clearance.
