We have a unique opportunity in our Region 9 Water program to work directly with CA, AZ and NV tribes to build their water quality programs! Project Officers manage grants to tribal environmental departments under the Clean Water Act, and provide technical and programmatic advice to tribes. It is a dynamic team with opportunities to work across programs and engage directly with tribal communities (there are 148 in our Region!).

This announcement is to solicit interest from NCE candidates. This full-time position is located in the San Francisco office, and all candidates must work from this office. Pay scale may be flexible but likely GS-7 to GS-9 depending on education and experience.

Qualifications

An advanced degree is not required. Experience working with tribal or underserved communities, exposure to or working with grants, knowledge of the Clean Water Act are all significant plusses, but not required.
