Amideast is a leading American non-profit organization engaged in international education, training and development activities in the Middle East and North Africa. Founded in 1951, Amideast in its early years focused on promoting U.S. study to students in the MENA region and managing U.S. scholarships and exchanges such as the flagship Fulbright Foreign Student Program.

Duties

Amideast is seeking a finance professional for a 3-4 month contract to support our Washington D.C. office. This temporary position is responsible for preparation and monitoring of student data and financial reconciliation as well as financial support to Exchange Programs with particular support to the Fulbright Department.

The selected candidate will support student payments, student taxes, liaising with the Amideast accounting team, reconciling credit cards, issuing cost reports, and maintaining accurate participant financial records.

Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 year of experience
-Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
-Great research skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
-Interest in the Middle East & North Africa and/or International Education
-Experience working with students is a plus
