Duties

The Human Rights Department seeks a talented professional with strong international gender-based violence (GBV) subject matter expertise for the position of Program Manager, Human Rights. The Program Manager will lead the Voices Against Violence (VAV) Fellowship Program, including participant selection, needs assessment, curriculum development, monitoring and evaluation and subaward management. Additionally, the Manager will serve as the focal point for digital security across the department program activities ensuring that the program’s digital security and data management/warehousing are reflective of emerging trends/threats. This position is based in Washington, DC (though it is currently remote during the global pandemic) and reports to the Director of Global Community Impact and Inclusion, Human Rights. This role supervises and supports the professional development of two members of the Human Rights team who will directly report to the Program Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus five years of relevant experience; OR graduate degree in international affairs/development or related field plus three years of experience in relevant program management or related experience, REQUIRED;
Advanced professional proficiency in French and Spanish, REQUIRED;
Experience living/working overseas, REQUIRED;
Minimum of 3 years of experience working on GBV issues in an international context, REQUIRED;
At least 3 years of demonstrated experience working on USG grants or cooperative agreements, such as US State Department or USAID grants, including directly liaising as the point of contact with federal funders REQUIRED;
Proven track record of strong program management skills, including program design, planning and implementation, financial management, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, and managing donor relations, particularly across global markets in multiple regions REQUIRED;
Demonstrated experience developing, writing and facilitating curriculum for international audiences REQUIRED;
At least 3 years of demonstrated digital security leadership and experience including: data management warehousing, knowledge on emerging trends and threats, and providing recommendations of risk mitigation solutions, REQUIRED;
Experience supervising and leading development of at least two direct reports, REQUIRED.
