BronxWorks seeks a Program Developer to work on projects across the Case Management programs, which include homeless shelters for families and adults, street homeless outreach, permanent supportive housing, homelessness prevention, foster care prevention, programs for people living with HIV/AIDS and a variety of specialized programs related to health and housing. The Program Developer will work with senior staff to develop grant proposals, budgets, and reports for the development, continuation, and expansion of programs. The position offers significant opportunities for growth and previous Program Developers have represented BronxWorks on Citywide task forces, managed construction projects, independently managed starting programs, and overseen the adoption of new performance metric tracking systems. Additionally, the Program Developer will assist with the development and implementation of quality assurance activities and reporting mechanisms. Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and networking skills are a must. The applicant should be able to work independently and maintain many projects at once and effectively manage and prioritize a vigorous workload. The Applicant must be able to complete last minute tasks and complete tasks very quickly; strong writing skills and time management skills are a necessity. Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree, and related experience in homeless services writing, project management, or journalism is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, sociology, human services, or related field
Minimum 2 years’ experience in social services or related field
