About the organization

The Task Force for Global Health is an Emory University affiliate located in Decatur, GA. Founded nearly 40 years ago to advance health equity, The Task Force works with partners in more than 150 countries to eliminate diseases, ensure access to vaccines and essential medicines, and strengthen health systems to protect populations. Expertise includes neglected tropical diseases and other infectious diseases; vaccine safety, distribution and access; and health systems strengthening, including supply chains for essential medicines, public health informatics for data to inform programs and policies, and training and support for epidemiologists and laboratory systems to prevent and respond to outbreaks.


Reporting to the Associate Director, Development and Partnerships, the Program Associate will serve as a key team member by coordinating and working on critical projects with both the Associate Director, as well as the Director of Ready2Respond.
Researching potential and current partners and funders to inform recommendations on optimal approach for funding and/or partnership proposals.
Supporting development and drafting of funding proposals, with input from Director and/or Associate Director.
Leading the logistical planning and execution of meetings, including agenda development, project coordination, development of materials, taking minutes.
Monitors and reports progress of objectives and goals of the program.
Supporting the three Expert Working Group leaders with the development, implementation, and tracking of work plans, and facilitating communication and scheduling among members.
Researching and identifying potential activities/areas of work for Expert Working Groups that align with their prioritized goals. This would include monitoring media, peer NGOs, government, and bi-lateral work that falls within the seasonal influenza, pandemic influenza, and pandemic readiness spheres.
Supporting the development of communications materials for Ready2Respond including but not limited to: PowerPoint presentations; writing and formatting reports; updating; and other communications outputs.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners.


Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program
Two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Experience with global non-profits and/or global health programs.
Program management experience, tracking progress, and updating teams.
Experience with WordPress.
