About the organization

American Cultural Exchange Service (ACES) is a small, growing, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting global understanding through educational and cultural exchange experiences. As a US Department of State (DOS) designated organization, ACES administers international high school exchange programs, including the Department of State's K-L YES, FLEX, and NSLI-Y grant programs.

With the national office located in Bellevue, a suburb of Seattle, ACES maintains a network of dedicated and well-trained Local Coordinators in communities throughout the United States who provide program services at the local level to international participants, U.S. host families, schools, and organizations.

Our fun and friendly national office is looking for a Program Assistant who desires to work in a collaborative position and wants to grow with ACES.

Duties

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Working closely with program managers on a variety of program operations
2. Assisting with meeting and travel logistics for Local Coordinator meetings, student workshops, student travel
3. Tracking deadlines to ensure program operations are completed as required
4. Communication with various program stakeholders, such as Local Coordinators, Overseas Partners and students
5. Working closely with Program Managers on creating new and updating existing program materials, such as handbooks, promotional materials and program forms

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of experience in an office environment
2. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
3. Ability to multitask to address multiple, competing priorities
4. Self-starter, motivated, team oriented, and excited to grow with ACES
5. Ambitious and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
7. Positive attitude, flexible and willingness to take direction
8. International experience preferred

Salary

Starting at $45,000 per year
