The World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) is a program operated by the American Soybean Association (ASA) to promote exports of U.S. soy protein for use in human and animal diets in developing countries. ASA/WISHH connects trade and development across global market systems, improving food security. Knowing that protein plays an essential role in human nutrition, visionary U.S. soybean growers founded WISHH in 2000 to serve as a catalyst in emerging markets. WISHH brings the power of strategic partnerships to our unique market-systems approach. Local business leaders, governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as academic institutions join us in increasing demand and fueling economic growth for the sustained availability of nutritious and affordable human foods and livestock feeds.
The purpose of this position is to assist with the day to day administrative and program activities. The Program Assistant, Admin. communicates with staff, consultants and partners overseas; scheduling travel as needed as directed by the WISHH Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer and Manger of Program Operations; submitting vouchers and invoices for review and payment/reimbursement, as well as tracking expenses across program and projects; budget monitoring; compliance review; Cochran Program, Trade Team and Farmer Travel budgets. Exceptional organizational skills and high level of attention to detail is necessary. Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted, maintain harmonious work environment.

Education and/or Experience:
Associate's degree, or equivalent, is required, with a minimum of 4 years of payable or contracting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Experience in making domestic and international travel and meeting arrangements for small and large groups is a plus.
Accurate typing skills with demonstrated skills in electronic Microsoft Office Suite, email and Internet; the ability to learn other personal computer application software i.e. Internet Web based publishing, MS Project Management, etc.
Excellent Communication, interpersonal, and writing skills with knowledge of Business English, e-mail etiquette, grammar and spelling; ability to format complex letters in standard business form; draft ordinary business correspondence and the capacity to communicate effectively with tact. Ability to understand and communicate with other cultures. Ability to maintain confidentiality for all projects.
Highly organized and detail oriented. Ability to work independently, prioritize and complete tasks within deadlines.
