Poverty Reduction VISTA
Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Dubuque
About the organization
Poverty Reduction is a current strategic priority of Catholic Charities. The Poverty Reduction VISTA will focus on working with the community to establish partnerships and develop strategies to reducing poverty with the immigrant population that we serve, as well as other clients through Catholic Charities. Catholic Charities' current Outreach program provides limited direct assistance to help families provide for basic needs such as housing and utilities. Our goal is to expand this program in order to further assist families longer-term through their journey out of poverty. The Poverty Reduction VISTA would help us plan and develop this program to be able to meet this unmet need and increase our scope of services in Poverty Reduction.
