Pharmacist (Clinical/Dispensing) Kingman, AZ

Come practice the best of both pharmacy worlds clinical ambulatory care services (50%) and dispensing (50%) in a rural healthcare setting. With onsite medication services in our primary care clinic, our patients enjoy the convenience of getting prescriptions in the same location as they receive their medical care.

In addition, our Pharmacist will work in collaboration with other health professionals to help manage patient drug therapy, provide patient education, and prepare/oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications.


Overview of Clinical Responsibilities conducted in clinic alongside medical providers:

Conduct and evaluate medication histories, assess compliance and suggest modifications for optimal drug product selection in order to achieve desired outcomes; instruct patients in correct use of prescribed medications.
Individualize medication regimens using sound principles and understanding of drug absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination to establish and improve to optimum patient benefit.
Prevent, detect and resolve medication-related problems. Make evidence-based, patient-centered drug therapy recommendations as part of the Integrated Care Team in a Patient Centered Medical Home Model.
Coordinate and interpret laboratory monitoring of drug therapy, including serum drug levels, electrolytes, and other approved drug-related laboratory testing.
Provide patient monitoring for the purpose of evaluating and optimizing patient outcomes, drug utilization and patient compliance, eliminating unnecessary drug use and duplication.

Overview of Dispensing Responsibilities conducted in onsite pharmacy:

Deliver high quality pharmaceutical care in a pharmacy setting.
Review medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness and completeness with respect to patient data, including age, height, weight, diagnosis, and other pertinent patient information.


Basic Qualifications:

Successful completion of a pharmacy residency or possess the equivalent clinical experience in ambulatory care services.

BSPharm or Pharm.D. required.

Current Pharmacist License and must obtain an AZ Registered Pharmacist License by date of hire.
