Duties

The Recruiter performs the following major duties:
o Seeks out qualified applicants virtually and encourages qualified individuals to submit applications for Peace Corps service.
o During execution of their written recruitment plans, the incumbent disseminates informational material to a wide range of groups including applicants, general public, news media, students and community groups.
o Compiles status reports, at the direction of the Recruitment Supervisor or Director of Recruitment, detailing recruitment activities in their territories and progress towards meeting assigned goals.
o With direction from Recruitment Supervisor or Director of Recruitment, plans and coordinates campaigns, creates campaign budgets within established budget limits and submits requests for purchases.
o Performs straightforward and non-controversial tasks to assist the Contract Officer Representative (Recruitment Supervisor) in the development and maintenance of relationships with various academic stakeholders.

Travel Required
50% or less - This position requires 25% to 50% of travel.

Can NCE be extended beyond 12 months?
If you are an eRPCV who was granted COS status and evacuated after January 1, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, then you are eligible for a 2-year extension of your NCE status when applying for Peace Corps staff positions. Please note that this extension is only applicable to employment opportunities within Peace Corps, and is not a U.S. Government-wide extension.

Salary

$39,109 to $63,173 per year
