About the organization
The Rose F. Kennedy (RFK) Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) at Montefiore-Einstein is a national leader in service, training and advocacy for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
--Providing voice to persons with disabilities through journalistic and video outlets, in service of
disability rights education and advocacy.
-Social media campaigning:
--Developing and implementing social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn) plans
for a range of disability education and advocacy issues, as well as promotion of UCEDD
-Directing the RFK CERC website:
--Re-designing and maintaining a visually appealing, cohesive and user-friendly website that
integrates information on all programs and activities.
-Producing innovative print media:
--Continuing the development and distribution of the RFK CERCulation, the internal newsletter of
--Updating CERC brochures in an artistic manner, focusing on public awareness of UCEDD and
*Please note that this position starts ASAP, has a contract length of up to 3 years, and requires a commitment of about 10 hours per week. Hours are variable and flexible.
-Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies or similar field required. Master’s degree preferred.
-3-5 years of experience in multimedia work and/or project management.
-Well-connected to individuals and organizations within multimedia networks.
-Willing and able to occasionally travel to the Bronx, NY for in-person project tasks.
-Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
-Excellent oral, visual, and written communication skills
-Competent in graphic design; computer and technology savvy
-Knowledgeable of effective use of social media platforms
-Exceptional ability to multi-task
-Interest in, and comfort working on, tasks within the disability field
