About the organization
Montana Campus Compact advances the public purposes of colleges and universities by deepening their ability to improve community life and to educate students for civic and social responsibility. Our organization is an independent affiliate of Campus Compact, a national coalition of college and university presidents dedicated to promoting civic and community engagement, public service, and service-learning in higher education. Our current membership includes Montana's two-year, four-year, public, private, tribal, and community colleges and universities, as well as a network office located in Missoula, hosted by the University of Montana. MTCC hosts an AmeriCorps program (College Coaches) and an AmeriCorps VISTA program that support its mission and work.
Duties

Mentor youth to plan and execute weekly farmers markets, FarmStand, and CSA distribution. Engage youth to learn about production, preparation, and sale of food as a future vocation by setting up farm visits and volunteerism at other local locations. Connect with the surrounding community by assisting interns during projects. Ensure safe farm and kitchen workplaces by assisting with the creation of an ergonomics training program. Plan and participate in summer Farm Camps for special abilities children. Mentoring transition into college/technical training bound mindset. Increase visibility of CCMT programs and connect with community members to further develop marketing strategies and opportunities. Qualifications
Cultivating Connections is a non-profit educational organization providing real job skills in Agriculture and Home Arts through farm tours, and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) food shares. Intended to inspire gratitude, generosity, fraternity, participation, a creative spirit, and a love of Mother Nature, Cultivating Connections teaches real job skills in the Agricultural and Home Arts and act as a catalyst for community building using food as the tool to bring people together through education, participation, and celebration. Thanks to a generous donation from Homestead Organics Farm, a working organic farm in Hamilton, Montana, our programs utilize the hands-on farm classrooms in the middle of the beautiful Bitterroot Valley.
