Mosaic in Action

About the organization

Mosaic in Action seeks to improve the lives of Brazoria County residents by working towards safe, sanitary and secure homes for all. We are a volunteer-driven organization, improving our community’s health and wellbeing through the repair of substandard housing. Duties

The Fund Development VISTA fills an essential role in Mosaic in Action’s (MiA) evolving mission. As we transition from storm recovery to restoring substandard housing, we need a comprehensive development strategy for operations. While collaborating with the Executive Director & Board of Directors, the Fund Development VISTA will prepare this plan, which will include researching grant opportunities, ensuring alignment of MiA’s mission within the constraints of our key funders, and the establishment of a more comprehensive donor database. Potential donors from fields such as economic development, public health, housing and rural affairs will be the focus. The Fund Development VISTA will research, apply for, and secure grant opportunities in these diverse areas & pursue funding prospects. The Development VISTA will also train & equip other staff members to use the donor database for ongoing operations. An essential part of this work will be to establish near and future fiscal targets.
