Our programs span a broad human service spectrum, from behavioral and mental health, child welfare and adoption, family support, job and employment transition, housing, food, transportation or home care assistance for the elderly.


The Medical Coordinator will oversee the Medical Unit for all ORR programs. You will be responsible for initial hygiene assessment, ensuring medical care of UAC, medical protocol development, and training of medical staff. The medical staff coordinator is responsible for maintaining and overseeing working relationships with medical service providers with local and state medical providers. Will assist Director in identifying care providers who will accept ORR’s fee for service payment.

Ensure and administer initial medical screening to ensure that newly admitted UAC is fit and does not have any acute or emergency medical needs.
Obtain a verbal report from the Medical Assistant going off duty concerning health conditions of all clients.
Ensure that a medical appointment for medical exam has been scheduled and will take place within 48 hours of admission to UAC Program at Gulf Coast JFCS.
Review and record pertinent information on charts and reports.
Must ensure concise and timely completion of all paperwork or documentation’s, including but not limited to, administrative, clinical, or caseload requirements.
Provide direct services to children to ensure a staff/client ratio is maintained in accordance with DCF regulations.
Maintain contact with primary care physician regarding hospitalizations and refused/missed medications.
Supervise Medical Assistants.



High school diploma or equivalent (GED); and 3 years of direct experience working with medical providers, knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology and billing, and managed care and support setting.


Associates degree in healthcare; and 2 years of direct experience working with medical providers, knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology and billing, and managed care and support setting.
or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Salary up to $65,000 depending on experience
