About the organization

The Arizona Food Bank Network (AzFBN) is a coalition of 5 regional food banks and almost 1,000 food pantries and agencies, working to address hunger in Arizona. Together, our network feeds almost one million people each year in all 15 counties in Arizona. We amplify the good work of these food banks by raising awareness about hunger, coordinating large food donations between food banks, and providing resources and education.


Nalwoodi Denzhone Community (NDC) is searching for a highly motivated Marketing
Coordinator who is driven to create affective, long-lasting change for a struggling Native
American community impacted by historical trauma. Share the life-transforming stories of
survival and triumph to a diverse community base who are longing to hear a message of hope.
NDC is a nonprofit located on the San Carlos Apache Reservation, which lies in the heart of the
Eastern Arizona food desert. There, on an 80-acre former tree farm, NDC seeks to reawaken
strength and beauty in at-risk, Apache youth and families through agriculture, food production,
farmers markets, education, art, and business development. Our approach to community and
youth outreach is founded on strong relational support structures that allow for holistic
transformation and personal growth.
As the Marketing Coordinator, you will work to strengthen community relations by helping
establish goals, develop plans, and execute strategic marketing activities through various
communication channels including social media platforms, websites, email, and CRM software.
Engage our community and constituents by creating captivating targeted messages which are
vital to our continued sustainable growth. We need you to share our story, but more importantly,
to share the stories of the San Carlos Apache people and strengthen relationships with foundations, constituents, and community members.


College degree in Marketing, Advertising or related discipline, or relevant experience
Prior experience in a marketing or related role
Strong initiative and ability to work with limited supervision
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience developing written
marketing materials
Strong organization and prioritization skills
Proficiency with web-based tools for communication, analysis, and reporting
Ability to collaborate with diverse audiences, understand challenges, problem solve, and
develop effective solutions
Knowledge of target audiences such as tribal communities
Strong computer skills
Ability to learn quickly and willingness to adapt
Passion for serving others and building relationships
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products
Able to travel as needed throughout the state; work related travel reimbursed
