Duties

The Market Access Associate is a new and crucial role to help myAgro with its ambition to reach 1 million farmers. This is a role in an open field, with lots of opportunities to propose new solutions and ideas.

Although myAgro does not buy back produce from our farmers, we want to explore how we could help our clients access new markets. Opportunities like these are often very local to a specific crop or specific region. myAgro would like to explore several of these opportunities by working with local partners. Reporting to the Director of Agriculture, you will work on 1 or more of these opportunities to test how a market access facilitation program could work. You should join our team in this role if:

You are entrepreneurial. This is new terrain for myAgro - you will become our expert in it! You have a creative and versatile approach to problem-solving in changing contexts. You deal positively with obstacles and failures and turn them into opportunities.
You are well suited to making difficult decisions. You can produce work without error in situations that are stressful or time sensitive. You are comfortable with data and able to use it to set the right course.
You know how to build an agreement. We will partner with local organizations or companies. This requires identifying and understanding the interpersonal strategies, motivations and feelings of others and using these insights to do and say the right things and reach common goals.

Qualifications

You Will:
Design market access programs strategies together with partner organization and myAgro's leadership
Create tools and trainings for project implementation
Train field teams on implementation of the market access plans and the communication to farmers
Set up measurement and data management systems to inform decision-making.
Use the insights of the market access programs to inform decision-making and shape the scale up of market access programs

You Have:
Bachelor's degree in (agro)economics or related field
You have 2 years of work experience and project management experience.
You have 1 year of experience working with external partners
Proven ability to work independently on important projects
French and English proficiency
