Girls Who Code is a nonprofit organization which aims to support and increase the number of women in computer science by equipping young women with the necessary computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities.

Duties

Team Management:
Manage a team of 4-6 part-time Summer Immersion Program student recruiters on the ground in their markets
Coach SIP student recruiters to strategically target communities and schools and troubleshoot barriers and challenges to reaching relevant students
Track progress towards recruitment goals and leverage Salesforce and other tools to analyze challenges in markets where we are not on track
Research potential collaborations with STEM organizations, non-profits, school districts, and online communities to spread awareness of SIP
Collaborate with Community Partnerships and Outreach team to improve efficiency and streamline our communications and processes with shared partners
Market GWC’s programs through calls, webinars, email campaigns, social media, and conferences
Up to 25% travel during recruitment period (January-April) to support regional recruiters

Project Management:
Lead collateral development projects, including flyers, postcards, email templates, and/or video creation in collaboration with in-house and external designers and writers
Lead our Google Advertising implementation and liaise with our Google account manager
Lead our Facebook Advertising and liaise with our internal Communications team
Assess our advertising campaigns’ efficiency and efficacy and make recommendations for changes

Qualifications

4+ years prior experience in partner outreach, management, recruitment, admissions, business development, account management and/or community organizing
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience requiredExperience managing ambassadors, organizers, recruiters, representatives, or other employees. (Remote management experience preferred.)
Demonstrated experience leading projects that require cross-team collaboration, attention to detail, and budget management
Strong presentation skills; comfortable engaging stakeholders at various levels (including students, parents, educators, administrators)
Thrives in a dynamic environment; able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals
Desire to learn and grow; team player with a flexible, creative, and analytical approach to problem solvingSuccessful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, and executing projects quickly and effectively
Able to travel (up to 25%) to participate in conferences, events, and support regional recruiters
Knowledge of and/or interest in computer science, technology, and/or education preferred
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, maturity, positivity and confidence
