This position is located within the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of
Professional Responsibility (OPR), Mission Support Division, Contracts & Acquisition Group.
Serves as an analyst and/or program advisor to management on various procurement functions and
activities requiring application of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment of management processes, systems and procurement programs. Provides support to management on organizational changes, as well as analyze trends and patterns to make recommendations on business improvement processes.


-Knowledge of contracts and acquisition management principles, concepts and practices to provide advice and guidance to OPR employees and managers on procurement principles, concepts, laws, regulations, techniques and guidelines.

-Ability to plan, schedule, and conduct projects and studies; develop new or modified work procedures; and analyze current procedures to make recommendations.
Knowledge of the Contracting Officer responsibilities to serve as MSD point of contact, and ability to provide guidance to managers on contracting activities.

-Expert knowledge of analytical tools and methodology regarding procurement for the implementation of
laws, policies and regulations; resolving planning, evaluation, control, and resource allocation problems; and an ability to provide advice to parties dealing with various management levels throughout the agency.

-Demonstrated interpersonal and administrative skills sufficient to organize and coordinate thorough, systematic, professional efforts to meet the organization's planning needs and requirements, and to provide written and oral reports with conclusions, alternatives, and recommendations on policies, projects, or studies for the agency.
