BHA Offices are supported by Management and Integration Teams (MITs), whose mission is to support the management needs of Bureau leadership and individual offices while ensuring integration of policies, practices, guidance, and learning across offices and in conjunction with the BHA Front Office.

The MIT Deputy Team Leader serves as a focal point for tasker management, staff management, and/or liaising with other offices within BHA and maintains standard operating norms across the bureau. Additionally, the MIT Deputy Team Leader will focus on operations, recruitment, response staffing, data management, administrative functions, coordination of administrative processes between offices, and assist with issue-based problem solving. The MIT Deputy Team Leader may serve as Acting MIT Team Leader and may supervise MIT Specialists, program operations specialists, and/or designated support staff. Additional tasks will include:

● Evaluations, addressing performance issues, and professional development needs of direct reports.

● Provide management support at the Office level. This may include organizing training sessions, developing training strategies or opportunities for professional growth, coordinating the performance process, timekeeping responsibilities, and coordination with other MITs to ensure bureau-consistent filing standards and templates.

● Engage in recruiting and administrative onboarding of new staff activities with BHA/HBMO.

● Program support functions which include knowledge management and learning within the office, divisions, and teams, as well as support for external sharing of office-relevant knowledge.

Bachelor’s degree with significant study in or pertinent to the specialized field (including, but not limited to: international relations, human rights, economics, public health, disaster management, public policy, or a related field) plus a minimum of nine (9) years of progressively responsible professional experience working in emergency relief and humanitarian assistance, development, or post-conflict settings with a minimum of two (2) years on humanitarian operations or policy issues. A minimum of one (1) year of working directly on response issues required.

OR

Master’s degree with significant study in or pertinent to the specialized field (including, but not limited to: international relations, human rights, economics, public health, disaster management, public policy, or a related field) plus a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience working on emergency relief and humanitarian assistance, development, or post-conflict settings with a minimum of two (2) years on humanitarian operations or policy issues. A minimum of one (1) year of working directly on emergency response issues required.

High School Diploma plus twelve (12) years of progressively responsible relevant experience working in particularly
