Lead Carpenter with CAD experience

About the organization

We are a small residential design/build firm specializing in high-end and historic remodels in the San Francisco Bay area. We do exceptionally high quality work and provide our clients with excellent service.

Duties

-Effectively follow a project schedule.
-Read and understand all types of project plans.
-Scale and perform take-offs from plans as needed.
-Create basic CAD drawings of construction details.
-Send texts and emails while on site.
-Manage a team of 2 to 5 carpenters
-Layout and direct subcontractors.
-Accurately perform all levels of carpentry work.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a good work attitude and must be able to work independently. In addition to possessing highly honed carpentry and problem solving skills, you must be adept at setting up and maintaining jobsite protection, anticipating material needs, providing direction for carpenters and subcontractors, placing material orders, and maintaining a detailed daily record of job activity. You will also be working directly with high end clients. Professionalism is key.

-Strong communication and leadership skills.
-Have a working knowledge of high-end finish requirements.
-Attention to detail and the ability to work quickly without compromising quality.
-7+ years of verifiable experience in high-end residential remodeling and construction.
-Provide your resume and at least three references in residential construction. A portfolio of work would be a plus.
