KCPL Tech Access Partnership Coordinator AmeriCorps VISTA

Kansas City Public Library

About the organization

The Kansas City Public Library is a doorway to knowledge for all people in our community.

The Kansas City Public Library system consists of a central library, nine physical branches, a digital branch, and an outreach services program serving a constituency of over 250,000 in Kansas City, Missouri. In addition to providing library services to residents, the Library also serves as a resource for the 1.7 million metropolitan residents of greater Kansas City.

Tech Access Partnership Coordinator VISTA will cultivate new and existing partnerships with community organizations, government agencies and locally-based corporations to support the impact of KCPL’s digital inclusion services. With an emphasis on increasing the number of individuals served in the footprint of KCPL’s service area, the Tech Access Partnership Coordinator VISTA will work closely with the Tech Access team to establish new tech-training sessions at branch locations and off-site partner locations. The Partnership Coordinator VISTA will also establish and maintain a consistent stream of communication between the Library and all Tech Access community partners via a monthly newsletter and one-on-one check in conversations.
