The Kansas City Public Library system consists of a central library, nine physical branches, a digital branch, and an outreach services program serving a constituency of over 250,000 in Kansas City, Missouri. In addition to providing library services to residents, the Library also serves as a resource for the 1.7 million metropolitan residents of greater Kansas City.

Duties

Tech Access Curriculum and Assessment VISTA will ensure relevance and effectiveness of KCPL’s digital literacy training and skills mastery assessments. Building on the Library’s new collection of intro-level technology curriculum, the Tech Access Curriculum and Assessment VISTA will build Tech Access’s capacity to serve patrons ready for intermediate and advanced-level tech skills. Researching and utilizing existing national resources, The Tech Access Curriculum and Assessment VISTA will create new modules within KC Library’s new digitallearn.org website and collaborate with Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment to create new assessments to measure skill mastery of these new modules.
