Organizational Setting
The IAEA Ethics function, which reports directly to the Director General was established to assist
the Director General in ensuring that all staff observe and perform their functions consistent with
the highest standards of integrity by fostering a culture of ethics, transparency and
accountability. The Chief of Ethics is responsible for the IAEA Ethics function.

Main Purpose
The Associate Ethics Officer (JPO) works collaboratively with the Chief of Ethics, carrying out
research and drafts in the field of ethics, including with regard to application of the Standards of
Conduct for the International Civil Service to specific circumstances, as well as benchmarking
and developing communication materials to raise awareness on the work of the IAEA Ethics
function.

Role
The Associate Ethics Officer (JPO) is an analyst and researcher regarding practices and trends
in training, communications and awareness-raising, as well as in applying standards of conduct
and addressing conflicts of interest across international organizations and in national civil
service.

Qualifications

• University degree in law, compliance or related field with good academic record.
• Excellent IT skills.
• At least two years of relevant experience in law, oversight or human resources.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of another official IAEA language (Arabic,
Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage.

Salary

$46,000/year
