The Lower Kuskokwim School District is the largest rural school district in Alaska in number of school sites, teachers and students. The District is headquartered in Bethel, Alaska and includes 23 Yup'ik villages each with a K-12 school.

Duties

Provides school social work services throughout the Lower Kuskokwim School District to students and families in rural Alaskan pre K-12th grade school settings. Requires extensive air travel and overnight stays at rural school sites, ability to be a part of a team and also to work independently in a cross-cultural setting. School year contract August - May under a negotiated agreement for certified employees.

Qualifications

MSW required or BSW with experience working in rural Alaskan settings. State of Alaska Social Work License must be obtained as well as State of Alaska Department of Education Type C Special Services Certification.

Salary

range: $57,850-$72,400
