EPA's Clean Air Markets Division (CAMD) is seeking an IT Specialist or Environmental Policy Analyst interested in implementing and managing air programs, such as the Acid Rain Program (ARP) and Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR), and working on its related environmental data through data analysis and developing applications to collect data and communicate with the public.
We are looking for an individual with an interest and aptitude for developing IT applications, performing analyses, understanding policy, and implementing air programs.
Interested candidates should be enthusiastic, organized self-starters with education and/or experience in:
* Developing applications to collect data and communicate with the public;
* Organizing and analyzing large data sets; and
* Working on projects in a team environment.
You must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in one of the following:
1. computer science,
2. behavioral or social science, or
3. related disciplines appropriate to the position;
a combination of education and experience with courses equivalent to a major as listed;
four years of experience that demonstrate you have acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major as listed.
In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education in the amounts shown below:
1 year of graduate-level education or superior academic achievement and/or 1 year equivalent to at least GS-5.
2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree and/or 1 year equivalent to at least GS-7
