Summary: American Conservation Experience, a nonprofit Conservation Corps, in partnership with the National Park Service at Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site (CARL) is seeking ONE Invasive Plant Management Team Member who will work alongside CARL staff and assist the Southeast Invasive Plant Management Team (SE-IPMT) staff with the management, control, and eradication of invasive plants and forest pathogens.

Start Date: June 2022, flexibility may be available for the right candidate
End Date: September 2022, 14 weeks after start date
*A 14-week minimum commitment is required*
Location: Carl Sandburg National Historic Site, Flat Rock, NC
Living Allowance: The ACE Member is expected to contribute ~40 hours/week and will receive a living allowance of $380/week to offset the costs of food, housing, and incidental expenses, dispersed bi-weekly. Travel may be required and all project-related hotel expenses are covered by ACE/NPS.
Housing: ACE members will be accommodated in provided shared park-housing at no cost for the duration of the term. Park housing is located onsite at Carl Sandburg Home NHS.
AmeriCorps: This position may be eligible for a 450-hour AmeriCorps Education Award ($1,678.57) upon successful completion of service hours.
