About the organization

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) was created by the Virginia General Assembly in 1995 to encourage, stimulate, and support development and expansion of the Commonwealth’s economy. To accomplish these objectives, the Partnership focuses on business recruitment, expansion, and international trade. VEDP has offices in Virginia, Germany, Japan, and South Korea.

Duties

Virginia Economic Development Partnership is seeking an Intern for the Economic Competitiveness team. This position will assist the Division’s work by providing timely research, and analytic support for select public policy and programmatic initiatives identified by the Vice President or Assistant Vice President of Economic Competitiveness and other staff.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate excels in his or her undergraduate studies while also developing leadership experience on campus and in the community. This individual has a high degree of intellectual curiosity, is a self-starter with the ability to learn new topics and concepts quickly, and possesses a genuine desire to make the world a better place. Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in social science (economics, public policy, or political science), mathematics, data analytics, business, accounting, or a related field is preferred.

$12 per hour
