The Partnership for Gender Equity

About the organization

PGE works to ensure a prosperous future with fair and equitable opportunities for every member of the coffee farming family - women, men and children.  Since our founding in 2014, PGE has conducted research, developed tools, and activated coffee companies to build transformative impact in the sector to address gender equity collaboratively for a global, transformative impact.  In 2015, PGE published its first research to identify the impact of gender inequities on the coffee value chain and determine how the sector could respond collectively. The Way Forward: Accelerating Gender Equity in the Coffee Value Chain has become a key resource for industry actors and is the foundation for PGE’s work and collaborative engagement to tackle the issue of gender in a variety of contexts – and supply chains.
