About the organization
This position is located in the Department of the Navy, OCHR Philadelphia Operations Center, Customer Service Department. As a specialist, the employee performs technical work in recruitment, selection, or placement and utilization of employees to staff agencies within the Navy.
-Provides internal and/or external recruitment and staffing services in a regional setting to solve problems of more than average difficulty for organizations characterized by hard-to-fill and one of-a-kind position (e.g. professional, administrative, or technical fields of work).
•-Provides advice and assistance on a continuing basis to HRO and Activity Management in search of sound solutions to problems in support of the needs of the organizations serviced.
•-Reviews and analyzes position descriptions, qualification standards, and classification standards to develop a job analysis for recruitments.
•-Communicates with candidates to make official offers and processes employees into the DOD database (DCDPS) to generate SF-50s.
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in Federal or private sector work that involves knowledge of the basic principles and practices of federal Human Resources. This experience must be demonstrated by some or all of the following examples: (1) gather and analyze basic facts and draw conclusions regarding Human Resources work , (2) perform a wide variety of staffing support duties that require verification of information and application of established guidelines, (3) provide technical support to senior Human Resources staffing specialists (e.g. maintaining case files and ensuring documentation is in compliance with established guidelines and procedures), (4) research federal Human Resources rules and regulations, (5) answer a variety of inquiries regarding assigned Human Resources work.
Completed one full year of graduate level education or have superior academic achievement.
Possessed a combination of the experience listed in A and the education listed in B.
