DI provides technical assistance, analytical services and project implementation for democracy, human rights, governance and conflict mitigation programs worldwide for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the U.S. State Department, and other development partners. Since its founding in 2003, Democracy International has worked with civil society organizations, political parties, election-management bodies, government agencies, legislatures, justice-sector institutions, and others in 80+ countries.

Provide support to our home office Administration and Operations Team
Maintain HR and operations files on DI shared drive. Lead the scanning and transfer of files into the shared drive and ensure standard file naming across team
Participate in the onboarding/off boarding and orientation process for home office employees
Support DI recruitment and interview process
Contribute to development and implementation of staff learning opportunities
Support the maintenance of HR policies and manuals
Champion on-going projects through research and collecting data. E.g. carry out research on HR laws, benefits and allowances for DI staff and other related topics as required.
Support the creation of HR templates in Outlaw
Support the organization of company training, professional development, and morale activities, including retreats, etc.
Carry out other assigned duties.


Actively enrolled in a Human Resources, Economics, Business degree program preferred
Coursework/demonstrated interest in Human Resources
Availability to work 30-40 hours per week for 8 weeks
Strong organizational and writing skills
Efficiency and attention to detail
Ability to work in a small office with other staff members on multiple, simultaneous projects
Computer skills, including Word and Excel
Ability to execute on simultaneous projects with a sense of urgency and ease.
